THE FAST & THE FURIOUS

This is the Sikorski (Good Polish Name) X2 Helicopter.  This is the first helicopter that has NO TAIL ROTOR! It has counter rotating rigid rotor blades and a pusher propellor, so the pitch of the left & right propeller blades subtly adjust automatically in flight to maintain stability and provide steering ease. And it can  FLY!!!  When tested in Sept. 2010, it reached a speed of 290 mph/460km/h, the fastest speed ever recorded for a helicopter. Its a one of a kind! Anybody up for a ride!

I'm sure the army will put it to "good" use real fast.....
